Artifacts and presentations to local groups are often available for special events. Contact the museum for more information.  The dedicated volunteers behind the Agricultural Museum of NB are proud to share their province's rural history with the world

 

     You will find us in Downtown Sussex, the heart of New Brunswick, and the Dairy Center of the Maritimes. We are situated in the beautiful Princess Louise Park. Next door, to the Princess Louise Show Center, the 8th Hussars sports center, and the Golden Jubilee Hall.

Our collection includes hundreds of artifacts from our province's rural way of life.
From agricultural equipment, house wares, and military memorabilia, to an impressive railway display.

 

Harvest Days

Sept 26, 2009

9:30-2:30

 Featuring:

Grain-thrashing, hay-pressing, butter-churning, wood-cutting, turnip-pulping, cider-pressing, blacksmithing and more, using vintage farm equipment.

Museum open that day free to public.

Dinner at noon $8 ( baked beans & potato scallop ) provided by Smith’s Creek Fidelity Group.

Our museum is also home to many military artifacts pertaining to the 8th Hussars and Sussex's proud history as an important military training base.

You're invited to stop by between June and September, with special viewings year round by appointment.

Our organization was founded by members of NB's agricultural community to let others know about our province's pride in its rural roots.

Hundreds of artifacts and documents have been carefully gathered over the years until we now have one of the most impressive collections in the Atlantic Provinces.


Today, we welcome guests from all over the world to our facility. Guests are invited to tour displays of agricultural equipment, antique home settings, a school room and a train station.
